Make a video smaller by re-encoding it. Upload, choose how aggressive in the convert step (CRF — higher means smaller), and download a lighter MP4.
We re-encode with H.264 at a constant-rate-factor (CRF) you choose — 23 is visually lossless, ~28 is a good size/quality balance, higher shrinks more. Drop the resolution or frame rate in the convert step for an even smaller file.
The output is a standard MP4 (H.264/AAC) that plays on phones, browsers and editors. Anonymous uploads are temporary and encrypted in transit.
Upload your video — it's pre-set to re-encode as a smaller MP4 (CRF 28). Raise the CRF for a smaller file or lower it for higher quality, then download.
Not much at CRF 23–28 — that range keeps good visual quality while cutting the size a lot. For the smallest file, also lower the resolution (e.g. to 720p) in the convert step.
Yes — compression runs for free with no account, over an encrypted connection, and anonymous files are temporary.
